The Vision & Genesis
Every great institution starts with a vision, a desire to fill a gap and create something lasting. For InFocus Media, that vision began on July 12, 2017.
Seeing the lack of a dedicated platform to highlight student life, achievements, and the vibrant spirit of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, a passionate group of 15 pioneering students from the Faculty of Applied Sciences and the Faculty of Technology came together.
A Shared Purpose
Inspired by established university media like Perabeats and MoraSpirit, they aimed to create a space that would capture and celebrate the unique stories within our university.
Growth & Dedication
What started as a small initiative has grown into a dynamic force and a key part of our university’s identity over the past eight years.
The journey from those early days to the lively media unit we are today has been shaped by the dedication of students who invested their time, creativity, and energy into every frame, caption, and video.

Through every challenge and period of change, InFocus Media has stayed true to its mission. Our strength does not belong to one person, it lies within our selfless team.

Empowering Storytellers
A significant step toward media growth at Rajarata University, the INSPIRE Workshop Series in 2023 was created to empower the next generation of storytellers.
A Historic Milestone
The past year marked an extraordinary achievement in our eight-year history as InFocus Media proudly became the Official Main Media Partner for the Sri Lanka University Games (SLUG) 2025.
